Coachella Campgrounds in Indio, CA
Watching movies was reinvented at Coachella’s premiere of Amazon and Childish Gambino’s film, “Guava Island.” An extraordinary, spiraling movie theater; built out of shipping containers and designed with dizzying colors was built with 5.1 surround sound, 270° projections, to make Gambino’s vision come to life. This immersive experience was made with the Coachella experience in mind so that viewers did not feel like they were watching a movie, but rather they were experiencing a heightened continuation of their music festival experience.
