An innovative approach to interactive theater that has redefined live entertainment during the global pandemic. The Netflix Original Series was transformed into a super-sized, immersive theatrical production that traversed a 10-story parking structure complete with mind-bending sets, costumed performers, a multi-media stage show, and otherworldly special effects. This groundbreaking live experience took Stranger Things fans inside the show’s most iconic scenes, including Starcourt Mall, The Russian Lab, and The Upside Down, from the safety of their cars.We were awarded a shortlist nomination for a2021 Cannes Lion for Brand Experienceafter welcoming over 300,000 patrons.

The 7-month residency in Downtown Los Angeles was an operational and production feat. It housed a cast and crew of over 300 with fully equipped food and beverage operations, retail footprints, and sponsorship integrations that obeyed ‘in world’ continuity– 1985 Hawkins, Indiana.
Enlisting best-in-class suppliers, Redrock seamlessly introduced new technologies that kept patrons safe and comfortable in their vehicles. This production and operation symphony was run by the same show control as Disney’s Space Mountain andrivaled theme park level attention to detail that paid homage to Netflix’s beloved Stranger Things.
Time Out Magazine gave us a 4 out of 4 star rating for our operational proficiency and flawless execution of over 300,000 ticketed patrons who successfully navigated in and around movie-quality sets through choreographed parking formations.
The live-action performance ended with a state-of-the-art movie on the 10th story rooftop overlooking the DTLA skyline, surrounded by a nightly cast and crew of 300.
Sold out over the duration of the seven-month residency, ticketed consumers enjoyed 5 different experiential ‘sets’ in their cars and were given ancillary servicing, including VIP accommodations, collectors souvenirs, and food/beverage operations. The attention to detail was apparent from head to toe in every crew and cast member who embodied the in-world aesthetic.
